Privacy Notice - Reservation for a New Volvo Car

This document describes how your personal data will be processed when place a reservation for a new Volvo car online through www.volvocars.com (hereinafter the “Reservation”).

We will process the personal data that you provide to us through the online platform in connection with your placement of your Reseration as further described below:

This personal data is collected from you and will be processed in order to process your Reservation and to communicate with you regarding your Reservation. The legal basis for processing your personal data in connection with the placement of and communication about your Reservation is to enter into and perform the contract we are concluding with you.

Payment of the Refundable Deposit

When you make a Reservation, you will be asked to pay a refundable deposit (”Deposit”). When you pay your Deposit through credit or debit card your personal data will be collected and processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (”Stripe”), a company incorporated under the laws of Ireland. Stripe will be the controller of such personal data collected through the credit or debit card payment and you can view their privacy policy here.

3. How long we keep your data

If you do not finalise the step where you pay the Deposit, your personal data mentioned above will be stored for 12 months after you began to place a Reservation through the online platform. We do this in order for you to be able to complete the Reservation and for us to assist you during this period.
