Privacy Notice - Consumer surveys

This document describes and informs how Volvo Cars (as described below) collects, processes, uses, stores and communicates your personal data when you participate in one of our consumer surveys (hereinafter "Consumer Survey").

Below you will find:

1. Who we are

The entities co-responsible for the processing of personal data in relation to consumer surveys are:

Volvo Car Corporation, with registered office at Assar Gabrielssons Väg, 40531 Gothenburg, Sweden, with registration number 556074-3089 (hereinafter "VCC"), and:

Garden Group, with registered office at Av. República Argentina almost Isaac Kostianowsky, Asunción, Paraguay.

Our company complies with the regulations regarding the protection of personal data established by Law No. 6,534/20 and is in accordance with the regulations of Paraguay and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).

2. What personal data we can process and why

  2. E-mail,
  3. Phone number,
  4. Type of greeting,
  5. Age,
  6. Gender,
  7. Zip code,
  8. City,
  9. Type of contract number, relationship with the vehicle (initial date and final date of contract/sale),
  10. Open/Click rates,
  11. Data about your vehicle, such as vehicle type, vehicle identification number (VIN) and license plate,
  12. Time and interactions on our platform,
  13. Geographic location,
  14. IP address,
  15. Language preference.

The information we collect, with your authorization, will be used exclusively to:

  1. Process this data to send consumer surveys and evaluate consumer behavior by segmentation. This allows us to improve business operations and customer experience. The basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in improving our business objectives and the customer experience referred to in the survey responses.
  2. Process this data for statistical analysis and reach measurement, and to understand the interests of our consumers. For this analysis, email invitations contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which display single-pixel image files that are also embedded on our website, where we ask for your consent to display them. The basis of data processing is our legitimate interest in understanding the general development of the survey and the interaction with it.
  3. Be able to help you when you request information about the products and services we offer.
  4. Comply with our contractual obligations during the period of services and with any other obligations you acquire with us.
  5. Apply our contractual rights.
  6. Offer notifications about contractual relationship and
  7. For any other activity that you have authorized in writing.

Even if the service is not carried out or if the contractual relationship expires, the user authorizes Volvo Cars and its affiliates to use the data for the following purposes: (i) Request to update data, (ii) Research, studies or statistics of the company and the financial department.

Volvo Cars, its affiliates and the personnel who have access to your information will manage it confidentially, even when the relationship with the user has ended.

3. How long do we keep your data

Responses to consumer surveys will be retained for a maximum period of five (5) years from their submission. They will subsequently be anonymized, but may continue to be used for research, study or information purposes.

To keep your responses secure, inviting you to submit comments provides you with an individualized questionnaire that no one else can access. The survey website and our data storage facilities have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

Only certain authorized employees have access to the personal information you provide to us. They will have access only for case management, data analysis and quality control purposes.

4. Who we share your personal data with

We will share the personal data of the interested party with the following categories of third parties, to the extent necessary:

  1. Those internal and external third parties that guarantee our service, internal or external, as providers of technological solutions.
  2. Those internal or external third parties that are responsible for consumer surveys, whose use of the personal data of the interested party will be limited by contract to the offer of services according to each data processing agreement.

Your personal data will be disclosed and processed by your desired dealer/distributor (if applicable) and by companies in the same business group as Volvo Cars. In the case of those companies that belong to the same group as Volvo Cars and whose headquarters are located outside of Paraguay, Volvo Cars will transfer your personal data in accordance with local, state and federal laws and other applicable regulations.

5. Your rights in relation to the data processing we perform

As the data owner, you have specific legal rights, according to article 135 of the National Constitution of the Republic of Paraguay, related to the personal and confidential information that we process about you (access, rectification and deletion of the data that we keep in our database):

You/The interested party can exercise your rights by sending us an email to the following address: globdpo@volvocars.com. It is important to indicate that, at the time the request is sent, you/the interested party must provide us with sufficient information to allow us to verify that it is really the person from whom we are collecting personal data, as well as describe your request. as accurately as possible, so that we can evaluate and address it appropriately. If the information that you/the interested party provides us does not allow us to verify your identity and, therefore, respond to your request in accordance with the data protection regulations of the Republic of Paraguay.

Your request will be attended to within the time period established by the data protection regulations of the Republic of Paraguay. During this period, which will not exceed 10 business days, we will send you your data that we keep in our database. If you want to rectify, cancel or object to the data, you can notify us using the same email address. If the case is applicable to the data protection regulations of the Republic of Paraguay, we will send the data in a period of less than 5 business days.

It is important to emphasize that we, as Volvo Cars, as well as our affiliates, do not sell our databases, in whole or in part, for any reason.

7. Changes to our Privacy Notice

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change our privacy practices and to update and modify this privacy statement at any time. For this reason, we recommend that you review it periodically on our website, since modifications and clarifications will take effect immediately after being published. This privacy statement is effective as of the date that appears at the top of the document. The personal data of the interested party will be treated in accordance with the privacy statement under which they were collected, unless the interested party consents to their processing in another way.
